LANDSCAPES

My obsession with color was magnified by the nine years I spent living in the tropics.  I have brought some of the intensity of the islands into my paintings here in Virginia and beyond.  I hope you enjoy my my view of the natural world.

VIRGIN ISLANDS

The light and colors of the tropics are amazing.  In the nine years I lived in the United States Virgin Islands, I focused on finding my one voice in my paintings.  Capturing the energy of life and the culture and the incredible natural beauty was and still is my primary goal in these artworks.

MISC ARTWORKS

My subject matter of choice is landscape painted in Acrylics or Oils on canvas. But, sometimes I challenge myself and try new subjects or media.  I have  created whimsical sculptures with repurposed materials.  This photo is of my fence art decorating the patio of my island home

EXIBITIONS

Through the years I have participated in many art shows.  Sometime with a small group of other artists and other times in large, juried group shows.  Some of my favorite shows have been solo exhibitions like my Natural Colors Show in 2021 at the Norfolk Botanical Garden.
